Samantha & Tom's Engagement Photos in Bellingham, Washington
June 14, 2017 , Engagements
Who: Samantha and Tom
What: Engagement session across Bellingham
When: Saturday, June 3, 2017
Where: Whatcom Falls Park, the “Welcome to Bellingham” sign, and the Bellwether Hotel
Sam and Tom met me at Whatcom Falls Park for some photos at the old stone WPA bridge. The golden evening light coming through the forest was fantastic. It’s tough to see but it absolutely lit up tiny bugs and bits of dust in the air in a way that was magical.
Sam and Tom don’t live in Bellingham but are getting married at Lairmont Manor, and a lot of their wedding guests will be visiting from out of town. They wanted a couple images with the famous “Welcome to Bellingham” sign to possibly use in their invitations as a way of welcoming their families and friends to the area.
Finally we headed over to the Bellwether Hotel where they will be staying after their wedding. We got there right as the sun was approaching the horizon. The weather was comfortable and the waterfront was beautiful in the golden sunset light.
At the end of our session I just let Sam and Tom walk together and find a bench to have a moment just the two of them, and to watch the last couple minutes of sunset before the sun disappeared below the horizon.
Thanks for a great engagement session, you two. I’m looking forward to your wedding next summer!
