Mary & Kasen's Engagement Photos at Deception Pass, Washington

June 6, 2017 , Engagements

Who: Mary and Kasen

What: Adventure engagement session

When: Saturday, May 20, 2017

Where: Deception Pass State Park

Mary and Kasen, friends of my wife and I, came to visit us from California. We meant to spend the day on Orcas Island, but opted for plan B — Deception Pass State Park.

As always, Deception Pass is an awe-inspiring place.

It’s really interesting to get down under the bridge, which is the way to get from one side of the bridge to the other.

There are also some great short trails and areas to explore around the base of the bridge. This was an awesome place to take visitors to Washington.

The water through Deception Pass is such an incredible shade of blue. The deep blue swirls and flows, and contrasts with the grey motionless cliffs.

Do you notice there’s no one in the backgrounds of these photos? I couldn’t believe that it wasn’t more crowded, especially for a Saturday with beautiful weather.

After the bridge we took a hike out to Lighthouse Point and made one more stop for photos.

Thanks for your visit, Mary and Kasen, and thanks for exploring Deception Pass with us. Can’t wait to celebrate your wedding next June!
