Chris and Georgia's Intimate Farm Wedding in the Mountains
August 19, 2017 , Weddings
Who: Chris and Georgia
What: Intimate farm wedding in the mountains
Where: The mountains off 542
When: July 30, 2017
Chris and Georgia own a medicinal herb farm tucked away in the mountains off 542 near Deming, Washington. Their wedding was held right on their farm. When I met with them to discuss their wedding they emphasized how much they wanted to capture their family and friends in that beautiful setting.
They put in countless hours of hard work preparing their farm for their wedding. Incredibly, they were also in the middle of a long house renovation too. Their devotion to the land and their love for the mountains was so evident in their hard work.
Their flowers were absolutely beautiful… Georgia knew the name of every single one.
They built a beautiful patio space for the ceremony at the edge of their property with a wooded backdrop and a view of the mountains behind. It was such a nice sunny day, I think the guests really appreciated having some shade.
Their reception featured live music that was so fitting for the mountain setting. Everyone enjoyed a potluck-style meal with BBQ and cornbread.
I have NO idea where Kermit came from… he just suddenly appeared!
Their cake was decorated with flowers from their farm – exactly the right style to reflect who they area and what they value. There were a number of very heartfelt toasts by family and friends. Overall there was just a lot of love!
A party in the mountains simply wouldn’t be complete without dancing in the field under a setting sun. I think every single guest made it out for at least one dance before the night was through.
Chris and Georgia, thank you for inviting me to document your beautiful day! I really was inspired by your hard work to care for the land and your love for the mountains.
