The details: Ashley and Taylor’s sunset engagement session on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 in Lynden, Washington.
I met Ashley and Taylor at a SECRET SPOT on the Nooksack River in Lynden last week for their engagement session. This place was great! Secluded, wide pebble beach, lots of greenery, views of Mt. Baker, loads of sunshine – beautiful.
Ashley and Taylor are the kind of people you want to be friends with and go on vacation together. I felt like we had known each other for years.
They told me they had never done professional photos before but they were naturals. Sometimes they were silly and other times romantic, and always looked so comfortable together. We started with some photos on the river and then took a break and headed into town before returning for the last bits of golden light.
Sunset photos on the beach are great but it’s fun to walk around town too. It’s also not a bad idea to do a quick wardrobe change to add variety to your photos.
On our way back to the river we made a sudden pitstop next to a field of tall grass. The sun was coming through the grass, making an incredible golden light. A friendly cat came out of nowhere to say hello, and Ashley named him Sucker.
Do you want to meet a friendly cat during your engagement session? Let’s make it happen! (I cannot actually guarantee visits from any cats, nor their friendliness.)
We made it back to the river just in time before the sun dipped below the horizon. I loved the way the sunlight reflected off the river and all the rocks on the beach.
In the other direction, Mt. Baker and the hills were lighting up a deep purple. This really was the perfect location!
Thanks so much, Ashley and Taylor! I had a lot of fun with you two and I hope your wedding back in Georgia is wonderful!
